Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actor, best known for her performances on the daytime network, occasional guest appearances and made-for-television films. Sofer was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her performance as Lois Cerullo on the soap show General Hospital. She has been acting as Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS' soap production The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). After her parents divorced, her family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer moved with her brother David and her father to Teaneck in New Jersey. But, by the time Sofer was just five years old, they lived in Western Pennsylvania. They were raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is co-educational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's Rabbi Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School she was a student at Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as an administrator of a band. Her first major part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). Her most famous role is her character in General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15, 1993 – September 24 1996). She was later guest-starring on the show (February 7-17 1997 September 30th to October 2, 1997). Sofer was presented with a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in Drama Series for her role as Lois. Sofer became a part of CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The first episode aired in July 2013. Sofer has appeared on several high-profile prime time television series in a supporting cast member or guest star roles: Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She began her career as a film and TV producer, including "The New Card Sharks", (1978), and "Card Sharks," (1986).
