Aahoo Jahansouzshahi (Persian Ahw Jhnswz Shhy; born January 10, 1980) also known professionally as Sarah Shahi (sr shhy),[1] is an American actress. She starred as Carmen in the TV show The L Word in 2008, Kate Reed in the USA Network legal drama Fairly Legal (2011-2012) as well as Sameen Shaw on the CBS crime drama Person of Interest (2012-2016). She also played the lead Det. Dani Reese in Life, as well as in a supporting role in Alias. She starred in Reverie which was a series that ran in 2018. In the year 2019, she was in a recurring role in City on a Hill on Showtime and was featured in seven episodes of The Rookie as romantic interest Jessica Russo. Shahi was married to actor Steve Howey on February 7 2009 in Las Vegas. In July 2009, she gave birth to their first child, a son] during an at-home water birth. In January 2015, she announced that she was pregnant with twins. A son and daughter were born at home in March. Shahi and Howey filed for divorce in May of 2020. Their divorce was finalized in January 2021. After meeting during the filming of 2020 of Sex/Life, Shahi started dating Australian actor Adam Demos.
