Mila Kunis Bio
Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi Ukraine on August 14, 1982. Kunis, then seven years old, emigrated to America along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. Then she moved to Los Angeles. The Kunis family was unable to get into America with the sum of $250. However, Kunis' parents both gave up professional careers to move out of their homes and move to the United States, were determined to create an easier life for their children. Mark was a former engineer who worked in mechanical engineering swiftly was able to find employment as taxi driver. Elvira, an entomologist from Ukraine was able to run an entomology clinic. "I didn't understand the American culture," Kunis has said when she first arrived to the United States. "I did not know the American people. I didn't understand the language. My first sentence in my essay to apply for college was "Imagine yourself being blind and deaf at age 7." It was like moving to the States. I was able to get over it quickly. Milena Markovna Kunis is the child of Mark Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) and Elvira. She has an older brother. Her mother works as a teacher of physics. She also runs an pharmacy. Her father, a mechanical engineer by profession is also driver for taxis. She is of Jewish descent.The family relocated Los Angeles when she was seven years old. In Los Angeles, she was a student at Rosewood Elementary School.When she was only 9-years-old, she began taking acting lessons. After auditioning for several commercials and a variety of other commercials, she was a star in her first television appearance on Days of Our Lives’ in 1994. The first time she was cast on the sitcom That '70s in 1998 show as Jackie Burkhart. Her performance earned her rave reviews. In 1999 she was cast in the role of Meg Griffin on the animated sitcom Family Guy.
