Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Francesca Wright, born 17 February 1991 was an English actress. She also works as a director, model, activist as well as an actress. She is well-known for her role in the role of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series.Born in London, Wright made her professional acting debut in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), portraying the character for ten years, before appearing in the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011). Wright was in numerous independent films following the series. These films were mixed reviews. Wright made her stage debut in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth in 2013 at the Southwark Playhouse. In 2012 she graduated from University of the Arts London with a degree in filmmaking. In 2012, Wright launched BonBonLumiere and began producing short films. Her first directorial project was the coming-of age drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012) featuring David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical appreciation. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016), which starred Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both included emotion and landscape. Wright's trilogy, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) with Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs was released by Wright. It is based on A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She has also directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright is an ambassador of Greenpeace, Lumos and has been recognized for her environmental activism.
