Rosamund Pike
Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actor. She was the sole child to a classical violinist mom Caroline (Friend) as well as an opera singer father Julian Pike. Because of their work, she spent her early childhood traveling around Europe. Pike went to Badminton School in Bristol, England and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent when she was noticed. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. Her debut film was a huge-budget action thriller. But her subsequent films were mostly independent films, such as Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). She was also awarded the award for Best Supporting Actress prize at The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) was a film that featured Pike as one of the Bennet girls. A brief venture into Hollywood film followed with the action movie, Doom (2005) as well as the thriller, Fracture (2007), but she returned to smaller films featuring outstanding performances in three movies: An Education (2009) and Dagenham (2010), and An Education. Dagenham (2010) as well as the lead role alongside Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version (2010).As she continued her acting career in England, Pike appeared in the spy spoof, Johnny English Reborn (2011) as well as portrayed the role in the role of "Andromeda" in the sci-fi epic Wrath of the Titans (2012).
