Tracy Spiridakos
Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She was the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. between 2009 and 2010. She then starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution between 2012 and 2014, for which she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. She was Annika Johnson on the A&E television show Bates Motel. Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. She is the daughter of two brothers. After she was born, her family relocated to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She feels strongly at home with her Greek family, and can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting as a junior high school. She also studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first TV job within a matter of weeks, a minor role on Supernatural. She continued to work in television, playing walk-on characters in Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was a part of the TV film Goblin and the web-based show Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also had a recurring role in Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she won her first lead role on the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. Her feature film debut came in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she appeared alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos appeared as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. Spiridakos was then offered a part of the lead in Revolution, as Charlotte Matheson (survivor of a dystopian future society), on NBC television. As she attended her first pilot season, she auditioned for this part. Spiridakos produced the pilot in Atlanta and then filmed the first season in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her performance in the debut season of the series nominated for an Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. But, she fell to the actress from Fringe, Anna Torv. The second season saw production was moved to Austin Texas.
