Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) and was an executive director for national operations
at Mary Kay, and Freddie Wright an executive in the field of pharmaceuticals.
She was born in San Diego. She began her career as a model at the age of 14,
and also worked in Paris and Japan. She made the decision to become an actress
after she had graduated from high school. She was chosen to be a part of the
soap-opera Santa Barbara (1984), where she was nominated three more times for
Daytime Emmys. Dane Witherspoon was her fellow cast member, and she was married
to him in 1986. She also appeared in The Princess Bride (1987), playing the
title role. After she left Santa Barbara, she was given the lead role in Denial
(1990) with Jason Patric. She was introduced to Sean Penn in 1990 while she was
appearing in State of Grace (1990). They had their daughter Dylan Frances with
him and the son was called Hopper Jack. Robin came back to Hollywood following
a break, and landed one of her most memorable roles: Tara in The Playboys
(1992). She was a stunning actress and was a fantastic actor. She was in Toys
(1992) the film that was an comedy that starred Robin Williams. It was an
extremely funny performance. Wright played the role of Jenny in 1994's blockbuster
success Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom Hanks. Wright was nominated for a Golden
Globe Award for her role as Jenny. She had a small role in The Crossing Guard
(1995), which starred Jack Nicholson. After declining 14 roles she was cast in
the title role of MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996), directed by Pen Densham, and
co-starring Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing. Next, she starred with
William Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
