Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist, was previously a television correspondent at ABC News. Her roles as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host on The View (2015-2018) are well-known. The show was co-hosted by her prior co-anchors America This Morning as well as World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. The position she held was in sales for radio, because television was not a viable option. She was hired as a WRGT/WKEF production assistant. She later was promoted to anchor and reporter. She was the anchor for weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati and the weekday anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 until 2005. She became a reporter for sports at the NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from November 2005 to December 2011, after her contract expired. She was hired by ABC News' news division in December 2011. She joined ABC News for their World News Now and America This Morning on January 2nd 2012. She also appeared as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as an anchor. Later, she was promoted to New York-based correspondent for all ABC News programs. She hosted America This Morning and World News Now's final program on January 22, 2013. On August 9, 2014, she made her debut as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend, after the departure of Bianna Golodryga. Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. News. The contract was renewed by ABC to run its 20th season on the 3rd of August. Season 21 was also the first season she was renewed as cohost. During the series' 21st and 22nd seasons, she mostly appeared during the show's Friday shows.
