Rose McGowan

"Rose") McGowan was born on the 5th of September, 1973. She is an
American actress. McGowan made her debut film debut in 1992 with Encino Man
(1992), and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995
for her performance in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). She had her
breakthrough in the film horror Scream (1996) which later was the lead in the
film Going All the Way (1997) Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999).
McGowan was best known for her performance in Charmed, a supernatural drama
series on WB from 2001 to the year 2006. McGowan also appeared in Quentin
Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) in which
she received nominations both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and the
Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. The album she released her debut album on,
Planet 9, was released in the year of 2018. The album was followed up by a
re-release of Planet 9 in 2020. McGowan was awarded the title of Silence
Breakers in 2017 by Time magazine. This honor recognizes McGowan's advocacy for
sexual harassment and assault especially in relation to Harvey Weinstein cases
of sexual assault and the Me Too movement. She's written her memoir, Brave, and
starred in the documentary series Citizen Rose, which consists of four parts.
